Proflowers.com Shipping fee scam Internet

Purchased mothers day flowers as seen on TV commericals.  Never went to a "confirm total" page.  I didn't see the total dollar amount until after I submitted my credit card information and by then it was too late.  Oh, I knew I'd pay extra for a "last minute' order.  Sure.  I already was counting on that BUT I was not only charged a huge expedited fee, but I was also charged the usual shipping fee WITH the huge expedited fee AND an added "special handling charge".

Needless to say I was VERY shocked when a $20 dozen roses cost almost $70.  rediculous!  3.5x the cost?  That is insane.

I tried to cancel the order since ther was no way in hell they could have prcessed it yet but was informed, "last minute orders cannot be canceled or altered for any reason".  And they told me I was supposed to see a "confirm order and fees" page before it went through the credit card process, but I didn't.  I even went back to the site and made a fictitious order to test and make sure I didn't just screw up but got the same thing.  No total and stright to the credit card page.

So, they are liars as well as crooks.

And, yeah, I know how this site works.  I'm going to get bombasted with rebuttals with either them or them posing as "joe average consumers" saying how they get this and that form that company and have never had a bad experience, blah blah blah".  Like we can't what's up with that.  And besides, shut up liars.

I'm just giving consumers out there a heads up that when they see those fantastic commerials and think, "yeah, I CAN afford to do something special for that special person in my life, yeah, flowers.  And what a deal!"  Well, remember this, you may get the flowers for a decent price (nothing less than your local floral section in your local grocery store, though), BUT the shipping fees are going to knock your socks off.

And shame on our so called "consumer protection" systems.  We wouldn't need Ripoff Report.com if they worked.  Us consumers need to stick together and blog the hell out of these jerks who rip us off.
