progessive I made a renewal payment in full on my existing boat policy #36743471-1. This payment was shown as paid by my bank statement to Progessive several days before my old policy expired. At a lat date I fi internet, California

7/16/09 an online payment was made to progessive for my exsisting boat policy #36743471-0 do to expire on 8/4/09. my bank statement from wachvia bank showed it charged to my account that same day to progressive for a new policy #36743471-1 coverage from 8/4/09 to 8/4/10. at a later date i filed a collison claim and was informed i didnot have a policy#36743471-1.   i have never recieved any cancelation notice on this policy nor any future policy renewal statements. i base my insurance payments on statements sent to me for each policy i have.   it appears that  from 8/4/o9 i have been without insurance coverage that my claim was not honored and it could have been a   financial catastrophe to me and any one covered by this policy of progressive.
