Project curve appeal is a modeling group that advertises that for a fee of $289 you are offered classes, and an opportunity to be a face of the company to particpate you have to go to whats called face camp.. There are also other benefits of the company like a commit to be fit program, which is once a month all the girls getting together to do a health and fitness routine and also once a month getting together to do a community service event. You were also suppose to get discounted photoshoots while in Austin, access to Project curve appeal partys and fashion shows.

I signed up for the group in May and the only activities we had were once a month meetings were we talked about face camp. Face camp was in the first week of October. At face camp you got the following
1. Classes ( runway, styling, make up, posing, selling, editing etc)
2. A 3 look photoshoot professionally edited.
3. Meals because I live in Austin Texas and the Conference which is out of town in Atlanta.

My story. While in Project curve appeal we never had any of the above activites from May to Oct. There was never an invitation to a commit to be fit. WE only had monthly meetings where we talked about the FACE camp.  The club also had no access to the photograhper discount and had no plans for parties, fashion shows etc to this very day!

While at Face camp the class that were listed were lies and were not offered and the one that were offered wre stacked on top  of each other time wise so you could only attend 2 of the classes. The professional photoshoot turn out to be not so professional the photos were unedited and half the photos were lighted and the other not. I also only received 2 of the 3 looks promised. The girls in the group were all from the east side and completely childish and physco! I resigned in Atlanta Georgia and flew back to Austin.

I contacted an attorney and then sent a demand letter letting PCA know I wanted my money back. keep in mind I have paid over $1000 at this point ( $289 registration fee, tshirts, matching dress, hotel, air fare etC). When the Director replied to my demand letter I notice she had used some wording that was verbatim in my email box from a conversation between a friend and I.

I called the police made a report and he advised me to change my password. After the police did an investigation it was found that the Ex Director herself Juanita Patterson. Had hacked into my Facebook and Yahoo mail. And read everything and tried to use conversation between me and my friends against in my lawsuit. The sad this is, if she wouldnt have replied to my demand letter I never would have known.

Today the investigation is over and a warranty got issued for Juanita Patterson EX director of Project curve appeals arrest for the crimes of Cyber harrassment, Cyber stalking, cyber impersonation and cyber hacking.  There is also a civil suit underway with my attorney and I sueing for damages and the return of all fees paid.

I have heard similar stories to mine about this group. Save your money.

The Truth is the truth

I wont go as far as to say that PCA is a cult lol, however, it IS mighty funny how when anybody representing the "Organization" responds, they always include everything listed in the mission statement, about section, ect. all of that pretty much is Null and Void.

As the original poster stated pretty much you pay 289-300 dollars to join an "organization" that doesnt know the first thing about being ORGANIZED.

I am no where near furious, angry or anything of that nature as my whole experience with PCA was actually pretty funny if you ask me. When I joined there were several people on my "team" I only saw 1 of them up until it was time for me to go to face camp which is when the others decided to even show their faces. They hyped this whole "Glam Day/ Face Camp" thing up to the max pretty much you paid for a makeup artist, and unedited photos. I cannot begin to explain to you how the QUALITY of the majority of my pictures were. The ONLY pictures that were of good quality were those taken by a guy named AB who does EXCELLENT photography work. You had to pay for your t-shirt, and your food. The classes were back to back and they were not setup like an actual class from anyone who has worked in the industry or anything to that nature, pretty much they were more than likely people who practice their so called professional life at home and have self classified themselves. The classes were like meetings, not an actual class.

Im not the type of person that will bash anything because that is just not my personality but I will give you my own personal experience. My experience was a mess. There were 3 people on my team who did absolutely NOTHING and after I came from facecamp they all quit... I was left to be the head over my area which was not something that I signed up for. I had people constantly telling me " I'll help you, I'll help you, I will come and help you" but do you think that I received an ounce of help? NOT AT ALL....  YET I am getting looked down upon because I wasnt drawing in members for my team. Mind you I was doing as much advertising as I could... I HAD LOTS OF PEOPLE want to join and inquiring I even had good turn outs at my meetings however, as soon as I mentioned the 300 fee for facecamp people chalk up the deuces and I didnt blame them! If they knew what I knew they would be mad at ME.

Also  they stated that there would be good entertainment at the bachelorette party for facecamp... LOL They had a comedian who wasnt funny, singers who couldnt find their keys, and the dancer NEVER SHOWED! lol

My life did not revolve around PCA amongst me going to school, working full time, also I'm a professional background vocalist so I was and am on tour constantly... being the head over my area was not something that I could do... I QUIT.

Pink City Corp is not an organization for everyone; we seek classy and sophisticated women. We are an organization that aims to empower women of all shapes and sizes. Chapters are establish to spread the movement in each city and represent its core purpose.  As a FOCA you must be a leader, ambitious, and classy. If you are not a leader this may not be the organization for you.

If you are not a team player this is not the organization for you. We desire women who wish to lead and support the movement and do so with honor. Our organization is new and growing fast. Within our organization there are fees, however all fees are accounted for. At my face camp experience, I had the time of my life. It was truly a sisterhood bonding experience, coupled with mini workshops on runway, makeup and etc. My photo were beautiful and fierce, bonding with my sisters was inspiring and up lifting.

Since I have joined I have a new found confidence toTAKE OVER THE WORLD".

It is impossible to satisfy everyone as within any organizational structure. Even within our own lives we experience people who are never happy or satisfied.

Pink City Corp is full of dynamic women and we are all making our mark here in the world, hopefully you will be the next "Chosen One".

Accept Responsibility and Try to make it right STOP THE LIES. You have Proof now! Do the right thing

I do not want to go back and forth with this and I wont. The truth is in the truth. Project Curve Appeal condones and is supporting their Executive Directive Juanita Patterson who according to the Austin Police Department and the State of Texas BROKE THE LAW. The means Project Curve Appeal does not respect its members  and supports deceptive trade practices, malicious and insidious acts.
On the National Project Curve Appeal Page it is said that the company believes in Fitness. My Attorney was sent an email from the Executive Director saying their fitness routine was walking around someone apartment complex. Ladies would you like to pay $289 to join an organization and $10 a month to maintain your membership to walk around someones apartments?

It was said that they organization had access to different events and discount photography. My attorney was sent an activities list that list going to someone church. . Ladies would you like to pay $289 to join an organization and $10 a month to go to someones church when you are looking to promote yourself more. This organization went so far as to LIE about the events they had been to. This was found out because 3 of the events I was at and PCA members were no where in sight.

During Facecamp the National Project curve appeal promotes you getting a 3 look photography session. I was denied one of my looks that I paid for because I was no longer part of the group and then I received UNEDITED PHOTOS. Keep in mind I could have had a photo-shoot in my city. . Ladies would you like to pay $289 to join an organization and $10 a month , Airfare to ATL, Hotel, Clothes, Makeup and hair to get unedited photos and a not as advertised photo package?
It is said you get free make up when at facecamp. I paid to fly 2 make up artist into Atlanta and my makeup was only done once meanwhile other girls not apart of our chapters paid $25 each to get their make up done. The make up artist were friends with the Executive Director ( who won here)

Truth is I could go on forever but at the end of the day Curve APPEAL is going to deny. Curve Appeal not everyone are disgruntle ex members. I left because of false advertisement and I simple wanted my money back initially. As a consumer this is my right. After a crime was committed against me and you are allowing it to go on by not accepting responsibility for your action, and not showing you have any conflict resolutions policies this is making your organization look worse and worse.  You are calling me a LIAR but a police department investigated the charges and submitted the warrant not I.

What you dont realize is I wont allow anyone else to be a victim of a crime by Project Curve Appeal and Pink City. I will tell everyone. I will You Tube, Website, Badbusiness, BBB, Consumer guide , Tell1000 etc. I have over 10,000 tshirts being made and sent to 10 different states.

At the end of the day no matter how you try to sneak around and cover stuff up people are reading this and you are showing them what will happen when a member is unhappy with your services and wants to leave.  This is not even of the list my attorney and I have to sue for.
I will see you in court.

Response from Project Curve Appeal

AUTHOR: Pink City Corp (Project Curve Appea - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, February 16, 2012

Project Curve Appeal officially denies the accusations that have been posted online.  The accusations state that we are directly
responsible for the accusers loss of money through our business practices.  These accusations are unfounded and incorrect, and have been initiated through an upset ex-member of our
sisterhood.

One of the things PCA is most proud of is that we try to maintain a high level of integrity in all of our actions. We are positive organization trying to do positive things with positive people. As we all know with anything we do in life...you can't
please everyone.  As an organization, we try to make every attempt to positively resolve any situation that may arise.  Unfortunately we were unable to do so with this individual.

We are not a modeling agency, nor do we claim to be.  We are a sisterhood united across the nation, with chapters in over 15 cities.  Our members include spokes-models which we title as Faces of Curve Appeal (FOCA).   Our advertised in-house training and photo shoots (Face Camp) simply provide the basic tools needed to be successful as a FOCA (not a professional model in the fashion industry).

Our Face Camp training is split into three parts. The first is the orientation where we go in detail over the handbook, policies, guidelines, and expectations for the FOCA while representing their chapter and our organization. We also thoroughly explain the opportunities the FOCA have to earn monetary compensation and recoup and/or raise funds for any expenses as a
member. At any given time, the women can decide if the sisterhood is something they choose to be a part of, or decline.
If they choose to join, they sign a document stating they understand our policies and expectations.

The second part of Face Camp is the ModelMe Experience. During this part, the finalists are able to sign up for optional mini-workshops which assist in preparing for their Glam Day Photo Shoot.  In addition, once a Finalist becomes a Face,
they are welcome to participate in all future workshops at no additional cost for training, including new workshops that may not have been offered at their initial Face Camp.

The third part of Face Camp is the Glam Day Photo Shoot. This is the initial photo shoot a finalist chooses to participate in, to be promoted as an official Face of Curve Appeal.  Included with this shoot is a makeup application by a professional makeup artist, and a photo shoot with two personal looks.  Project Curve Appeal also includes a free third look with their promotional FOCA shirt which is shared with the Finalist should they officially become a FOCA after Face Camp.

Glam Day photo shoot images are shared with the finalist through a personal link sent 1-3 weeks after the shoot. For their personal use, they receive 5-12 shots for both looks and the images have a basic edit (cropped and adjusted lighting if
needed). In some cases, the photographer is overly generous and provides additional complementary images above
the 5-12. In those cases, the images may be raw (unedited).

Once a finalist is chosen to become an official FOCA after Face Camp, depending on the status of the chapter, she will participate in recruiting events, community service activities, fitness, bonding activities and promotional events.  If a chapter is newer or they don't have all their management positions filled, they may host fewer events until they recruit enough members to become an active chapter.

Project Curve Appeal understands that not all participants will feel this organization is a right fit for them. If any situations arises that give cause for concern, the directors make themselves easily accessible to every member and supporter of the organization, to try to rectify the situation.

Project Curve Appeal does note claim to be a perfect organization, as we are always looking for ways to improve the sisterhood.  Like other growing companies, we are a work in progress. We learn from every experience and event, and try to make the next one better. Our mission is to Unite, Empower and Education sophisticated, classy full-figured
women all around the world. We are comprised of over 15 independent chapters and pending chapters who carry out our mission in their local cities to the best of their abilities.  We stand behind the positive women of the organization, and want to personally thank all of our members, partners, true fans and supporters over the years. Because of you, we are able to rise to another level personally, and collectively as a sisterhood.
