After almost 20 years of paying premiums on two insurance policies, Prudential Insurance canceled the polocies without notification to me. They said they notified me but they did not, I have explained to them over and over again, and asked them to re-instate the policies and they are as of the date of this email refusing to re-instate.

Please re-read your policy. All Prudential policies state that they, by law, may cancel a policy at any time, for any reason. The policy holder may cancel for any reason at any time, as well.

The company is required to keep records of any cancellation, regardless of policy type. Any of the company's employees should be able to provide a copy of the notification. If a copy cannot be provided, the Department Of Insurance in your state should be notified, at which time an investigation will begin by the state. The Department Of Insurance is YOUR advocate against insurance rip-offs and is more than willing to help!!

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Tell them you need the information ASAP so that you can contact your state Insurance Commissioner

You do not tell us what type of policies were cancelled. Were they life, home, auto? You should write a letter to the main office, fax a copy if you can get the CEO's fax number, and send the letter certified mail, return receipt requested, asking for the reason for cancellation (in writing, of course), the date of cancellation and why they did not notify you of the cancellation. Tell them you need the information ASAP so that you can contact your state Insurance Commissioner and ask him/her to review the cancellation.
