PSI is probably a bogus company that bothers USAA members.  I do not know how they got my information but USAA was firmly asked not to share my information with affiliates or market to me.  PSI called my pay-as-you-go phone while I was busy taking a timed college online quiz.  When I called USAA, I spoke to two different people in their fraud departments and neither knew a thing about PSI or this number.  PSI mysteriously knew my new rank even before my AKO knew it.  Highly suspicious but if they have been harassing people since 2008 or earlier as online complaints suggest, you would think USAA would have stopped them by now if it were fraud, so who knows what this is all about?
Searching for others' experience with the number that dialed me, I found far more comments defending PSI as an innocent company than ones pointing out its inconsistencies.  Think about it: why would this many people post in defense of PSI?  It is unusual for there to be more defense remarks of a phone number than complaints about it because ordinary people almost never rush off to the internet just to tell a bunch of people on the WWW that the last call they got on their phone is just an innocent call.  Is that something YOU typically do?  And even if it is PSI people making the lame excuse that they are frequently misunderstood feel the need to do this, why haven't they adjusted their business model-given that these misunderstandings have obviously been going on for years-rather than continue on and on to disrespect and confuse USAA customers?
Someone said they sent junk mail in the mail to warn that I would get a phone call.   I do not read junk mail but please re-read the second sentence in this complaint.
The call broke my focus on a question on my quiz; I called back later and got a very dodgy response.  The talk was fast and the wording was tricky.  At first, I was told in a way you could almost miss the word, "affiliated" that they were affiliated with USAA.  "Affiliated could mean anything-it could mean they are a department of USAA (which is what I assumed).  After about 4 minutes and several pieces of information tricked out of me, they finally identified themselves as "PSI".  I immediately stopped giving them information and inquired as to why they did not tell me they were not USAA.  The lady seemed defensive in telling me that she did indeed tell me that they were <merely> affiliated.  I see little need for a legitimate company to not just come out at first and say who they are in the first ten seconds of a phone call or to send a warning letter that they are going to call rather than actually ask you the desired information in the letter itself if they are so sure you are going to read it to be warned of the call.

This is a very old complaint

It must be nice to work as a middle man company that doesn't have to care how customers are treated.  "If you don't like the way we do business, go somewhere else".

You're so angry that you can't even think clearly.  I made it perfectly clear in my complaint that the USAA people I talked to weren't trained enough to tell me why your company called.  Since I checked first, and wasn't informed, from my perspective, I'm guiltless and to me you were just another ridiculous company.  I had every right to complain here about phone solicitation since the DNC just logs and forgets them.

What I find most amusing is how you say you have to deal with "customers like me" all day long.  Right back at you, a*****e.  GET ANOTHER JOB THEN.  I dont suppose that it ever occurred to you or your company that this is clear evidence that PEOPLE DON'T LIKE DOING BUSINESS YOUR WAY.  You obviously don't care, but you know what?  I haven't had to deal with you people any more since this complaint!  USAA must have gotten the message.

People don't like losing control of their phone.  Care to pay some of my phone bill after telling me when I can and can't have it on?  You complain that you get so many people with the same problem and your company can't figure out that maybe they should just stop doing this!  It's a bad business model and you yourself said lots of customers don't like it.  You suggested I go to another insurance company suggesting they they all must manage to keep track of their customers without using your services.

You claim to be saving people money.  Know what would be cheaper?  Just eliminate you people altogether and send customers a letter asking them to fill it out rather than pay you a salary to call me!  Maybe they could send it in the same mail comminication they already send to say someone is going to call since it's self evident that they expect it to be read.  Yep-like you suggest, your  reeeeeely the smart one here.

You're so wrong

You clearly have no actual idea what you're talking about. Your insurance company USAA uses PSI as a third party company. All PSI ONLY has information on your car insurance. I believe they started to take on Home insurance as well but that's after I left PSI. They're not a scam or rip off company. We LITERALLY call you to ask you questions about your car insurance to save you idiots money. Half the people don't understand they're over paying for insurance. We're told NOT to come out and say we're PSI unless specifically asked because people ALWAYS ASSume that we're selling something when we legitimately only car about the mileage and some other question about your vehicle. Before you're hired at PSI you have to go through training to learn al the ranks and we must address everyone as they're ranks. USAA is the one who knew your rank, they send that information to us. Take it up with them if you feel it's odd how they knew. Anyways, NOOOOO for the millionth time, Professional Surveys INC is a legitimate company, who treats their employees great and is an amazing place to work. You do know you're able to call PSI and ask these questions right? They'll let you know what your insurance company lets us know. Or perhaps, call USAA. Whoever told you they don't know what Professionals survey INC is at USAA wasn't very bright I'll tell you that. I remember having to contact USAA a few times, every time they knew exactly who I was and what company I worked for seeing as they hire us to do what we do.

PSI is legit you just dont know what your talking about

PSI is a legit copany, I have worked there for three years and have to deal with ignorent people like this guy all day long, and you all have the same complaints. First of all if your busy eating, driving, or in this persons case taking an important test it is your own fault you were disrupted. Turn your phone off!!! Or just dont answer. Second dont get mad at the person calling you, get mad at your insurence company. They hire us to review your information so if you have a problem with that go to State Farm, Geico, or somewhere else. Further more if you are still having a hard time reading between the lines do the simple math. Why would your insurance company pay a licensed agent 25 dollars an hour to review simple information about your current policy when they can hire a company that will pay less than half that to regular uneducated people to do the same job? And then the golden question why review simple information at all in the first place? Well just look around you we live in a money hungry world. So when I call saying I am conducting a review on your policy its probably to look for ways to jack up your rates.

In conclusion, stop getting mad and crying over a phone call that you were to stupiud to answer in the first place, your phone doesnt own a gun and isint holding one to your head you dont have to answer every call you get expecially if its from a toll free number!!!
