Public Storage DO NOT rent from this location, DO NOT assume you een have a reservation Lakewood, Colorado

I reserved with Public Storage (or so I thought), a first floor, 10 x20' climate controlled unit 3 weeks ago in preparation for my move in '4 days'. (The reservation was quoted and taken over their 800 number by a customer/sales rep.). When I showed up yesterday at this location I woul dbe using to check out the unit and to make sure everything was in order, I was told they had no 10x20' unit reserved for me, and my last name was entered as another. They apparently had a reseration for me of a smaller unit which is not what I needed. The unknowledgeable woman showed me the only 10x20 they had left which was not quick access but up on the 2nd floor, down the hall and numerous turns later, we came upon it.  I asked her to contact her manager. Since they made the mistake will they make 'it right' by giving me a second small unit to compensate for the loss of the 3x10" space (if I tool the smaller 10x17 the guy had reserved)........OF course NOT, I would have to pay for the second unit as well!!  I was livid. THey offered to do nothing for me. As I left I told the woman I needed to think about it and would let them know today. Today, I rec'v a call from the mgr. asking me to confirm if I still wanted the 10x20 on the 2nd floor. I called him back only to find that it had been rented out this morning -PRIOR- to his calling me!!!

This place is dishonest, disorganized, and the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. They over sell and tell you that you have a reservation that isn't.  A manager at the only other storage facility in the immediate area (and non climate controlled), told me he has picked up 6 Public Storage clients recently because they are playing the shell game with prices supposidly locked in.  >>BUYER BEWARE!!!<<<
