Publix Store # 706 and 1279 Buy One Get One Free Buford Georgia

I was at Publix Grocery Store # 706 and saw a "Buy One and Get One Free" sign for Oscar Mayer Bacon.  If you bought one, and got the other one free you would save $9.49.  The $9.49 was the price for one pound of Bacon!  I asked the service desk if they would explain and was told that the $9.49 was the price for the one pound Oscar Mayer Bacon.  I did some shopping and then asked a manager to check to see if it was correct - $9.49 for a pound of bacon - was told this was the price Oscar Mayer bacon.  He shared with me that the bacon was very expensive.

I left the store and went to the local Kroger store and purchased the same bacon for $5.99.  I went to the local Walmart and the price was $5.98.  I then went to Publix Store 1279 and they had the same "Buy One and Get One Free" and when I asked if it was correct they acknowledged that the regular price for the bacon was $9.49 per pound.  $3.50 higher then their competitors or about 37% higher!  

The Rip Off is that they raised the price so they could make you believe this was a bargain!  You can purchase prime Rib Eye Steaks for the same price per pound or lower!  Shame on Publix - will not show there anymore!
