Puppy Depot ripoff Coram New York

6 years ago my mom and I bought a 3 month old Rottie puppy from puppy depot. She appeared healthy enough. Well within a few days we took her to a vet for a check up to find she had body lice and a yeast infection in her ears. We called puppy depot and they did not want to take care of it, they did not even offer veterinary care, they just said they would give her a flea dip. They would not reimburse us for a thing. 6 years go by and the dog appears to be healthy still. We move upstate, she is a wonderful dog with the most amazing temperment. This past December the dog stopped eating for a couple of days and seemed to have breathong distress out of no where. Throughout the past 6 years the dog has always went for regular checkups at the vet and except for arthritis in her hips she seemed okay.

Anyway I take her to the vet in December and the vet did a chest xray and come to find that she had a very unstable spine which is fused which is a rare defect that is inherited in the bloodline, also she was in heart failure , her heart was twice the size it should be. It was so big it caused her lung to completely collapse. The vet said she probably had this heart problem since birth that it seemed to point toward hereditary problems and nothing could have changed the fact that she was going to get sick. That night I chose to put her down because I adored this dog, she was my best friend for 6 years and I didn't want her to suffer. I miss her dearly. I have heard of many others since we got her that have recieved sick dogs with parasites from puppy depot and other people have told me of pets purchased there and they had birth defects.

Isn't there a way to stop these people from hurting these poor animals and the people that puchase and fall in love with them???? They should be put out of business or in jail.
