Purity Medical Products Still up to old tricks... SCAM ALERT! Dishonest!!! Internet

I get a call from Purity Medical Products.  Caller ID says "Private number".  The man on the phone says he is calling from the Warehouse at Purity and needs to know if we need a shipment of medical exam gloves sent out.  He says their shipment of gloves from the manufacturer has been changed in some way that could delay us getting gloves when we need them, but they can go ahead and send me 2 cases now so I won't run out.  I get calls from this company pretty regularly.  I usually tell them I don't order from them and they usually hang up on me, but this time I'd had enough, so I played dumb.  I told the guy I needed to check on my inventory before I could place an order so I asked for a number that I could call him right back.  He said he couldn't give me a number because he was "in the warehouse".  So I asked for a number for Customer Service so i could call them right back with my order.  He says he doesn't know the Customer Service number because he "just works in the warehouse".  So I tell him I really can't place an order until I know how much i need.  He offers to call me back.  I tell him nevermind and I hang up on him. 

So I go online and google Purity Medical Products.  I find this website.  I google www.puritymedicalproducts.com and sure enough, their website pops up.  I go to the contact page and I call the 1-800 # for Customer Service.  There is no automatic operator that answers the phone...  just a live person.  I tell her I need to speak with someone about an account.  She asks for my company name and an invoice number.  I tell her I don't have an invoice number.  She puts me on hold (no on hold music... hmm).  She comes back and says I need to speak with Howie and he is on another line.  I tell her I will hold.  Howie comes on the line and I tell him I had just received a call from a guy in their warehouse about a glove order.  I told him I wasn't sure what i normally order from them and that I needed to check my inventory before I placed an order.  I told him the guy in the warehouse couldn't even give me the number for customer service and I had to go online to find it.  I told him I thought that was strange.  I asked Howie if he could tell me what I had oordered from the in the past and what my account number was.  he said they did not have an account for us and the call I received was probably from Sales looking for new clients.  I told him no, it was definitely from the warehouse and they made it sound like we order from them all the time.  He just snickered and said no, he was probably just calling to see if we needed to place an order.  I asked Howie if we didn't have an account with them, then how did the warehouse guy get my phone number?  He said he was probably just calling around.  So I hung up.

Bottom line...  this company uses dishonest and misleading practices to get new business.  Very shady.  I will never do business with them.  Do they think we are stupid?
