Purity Medical Products TOTAL SCAM! WATCH OUT! They call monthly for orders...Shouldn't we be calling them when we NEED to order?! Placentia California

This company has TOTALLY scammed us! A co-worker who is no longer employed with the company set up our account last fall thinking we were getting a GREAT deal on non-sterile gloves. As it turns out, we were getting scammed! Purity medical was charging us $28.00 per box of Adenna gloves...i've found the exact same gloves for $7.44 per box! Yet they made it seem we were getting a discounted price for buying multiple cases.

About 2 months after the first order, they called again stating our gloves were going to be on back order for sometime and they had kindly set aside 2 cases for us and just needed to confirm our shipping address. We did NOT need any gloves at the time, but since Purity Medical did not know when they would be available again, we ordered the two cases.

Again 1-2 months went by and they were calling. They woman on the phone was speaking very quickly and more concerned with my personal life than our account. She stated we needed to order again. When I informed her we did not need any supplies, she said they would be more than happy to substitute different supplies in place of the gloves.

I told her I would speak with the MD and let her know what we would be doing. I started to get a bit suspicious when the same woman kept calling multiple times throughout the day, asking to speak with myself, not leaving any message, and acting like someone different each time. That's when I looked up the company and found many more complaints just the same as ours.

When I called the number she had provided me, the receptionist answered "Customer Serivce"...there was no mention of Purity Medical until I specifically asked what company this was. And that is their main number listed on their website.

I informed the woman we would no longer be placing any orders with their company. She quickly responded "this is no problem, we just have this one balance to take care of, we will cancel the last two cases and your account will be closed." She then said she would get this order to the "guys in the warehouse" and we would be all set! I said...whoa...I am NOT placing an order! We do not have any balance with this company and we are not ordering from them any longer.

She became flustered when I said I would have the MD call because obviously I was not understanding what she was talking about. She said she would sent our info to the accounting dept and hung up.

We'll see if they call back.....
