Quicken Loans Former Employee Ripoff Cleveland Ohio

I worked for Quicken Loans for a little less then a year. My situation is exactly the same as Stevens. I have been putting anywhere from 60 to 80 hours a week and was put on a letter for production as soon as the industry became unstable.

This company basicaly makes you forget about anything outside the work and when the times get rough - they dispose of you without any regard about who you are, what you did for them, and what price you paid by working there. And you do pay the price: if you have kids at home - they grow up without their parent, if you are married - chances are, you will be divorced within the first year because you just dont get a chance to see your spouce, and when you do - talking is the last thing on your mind after spending 13 hours at work talking to your clients.

If you were to do a research you will find a very high number of people (bankers, directors, VP's) that got divorced or quit their jobs becuase they spouces where going to leave them. Quicken Loans is selected to be The Best Company to Work for because they dont ask about the effects this job has on your family, friends. If they will add this question I guarantee you Quicken is going to be far from the top.

One of Dan Gilbert's "Ism's" ("Ism" is a slogan of company's philosophy) says "Penny saved is a penny" - basically meaning that you are not going to progress by looking for ways to save money, you have to look for ways to make money.

Well lets see what they are doing now - Cleveland Center stopped hiring, recruiters are either forced to become bankers or get fired. They put over 40% of the COMPANY(bankers company wide) on production letter - you know the outcoming result of that.

People that have somewhat less responsibilty positions like Event Coordinators, Facilities Management are being fired for made up reasons like low performance. If the person was not doing their job he/she is replaced after. Why would you fire somebody for saying they are slacking and then just eliminate the position. I am not going to get in to detail about the small stuff like no more free tea bags and Crystal Light Sugar Free Drink Mix ;).

They are just cutting their cost to operate and that is completely understandible with todays market. But what a shame it is for them to destroy peoples lifes like that and say that this is not what it looks like. They go against their own philosophy and lie in your face from day one.

Taking a step back now and rethinking my whole experience of being a Quicken Slave, I am glad now that I went through this because I assure you, this will not happen to me again. For all of you that are thinking about working for this company - remember that free cheese is only in a mouse trap, and no matter what you will be promised, you are nothing but a disposable puppet in the masters hands.

Steve, good for you to quit. Some people spend years in that sweat shop before they all of sudden see the dawn, and leave. I can believe that they are using that old "Letter" BS. Is that d**n letter suppose to light a fire under one a**? They simply have no repect for BANKERS. They don't even respect their home city - how about JAY FARNER wearing a "Detroit Sucks" during a NBA playoff game, while cheering for Cleveland. This is how far DANNY has them clowns brainwashed. Danny Gilbert has the ENTIRE company cheering for sorry a** Cleveland Cav's over their own team where most folks were born or live in the Motor City.

They need to know the truth from OUR side - inside and out about how Dan Gilberts trained robots treat the staff who work 80 hours a week without being paid OVERTIME. But you can collect unemployment compensation if you are laid off. Think about this for a while....... Just tell youir former coworkers that they don't want to be fired 'for cause'....

I heard Quicken advertise on the radio today that they have a wonderful new loan program......... the mortgage holder can switch to interest only payments, or.... somehow.... pay 1/2 of what the mortgage holder is paying now, which I infer is a negative-amortization mortgage gambit....

This loan program sounds wonderful.... for people who want to live on the street......

How much more world wide financial meltdown do we need to enjoy before these idiots smarten up?
