Our business received a piece of mail from a company that used the Yellow Pages Logo and referred to themselves as Yellow Pages Online Services asking me to "Verify" my listing and stating that "This Is Not A Bill" in very large font on the front of the statement.  One of our employee filled out the form and sent it in. 

A couple of weeks later, I receive an invoice from the company in the amount of $361.90.  I called the 800# to ask why I was receiving the bill and I learned that this company is NOT Yellowpages.com as they have led me to believe and that what we had filled out had given them permission to charge us $329 for six months of a listing on an UNKNOWN website called Ypedia.com.  I told them that was not the yellow pages and he said they were the "Yellow Pages Of The Digital Age"

I asked them to remove the charges as we were misled to sign their form and did not want this service but they have refused. I asked them to mail me a copy of the contract that our employee signed but they are not able to find it. They threatened us to send us to collector and attorney. I told them that I need their attorney or legal representative's contact info so that I can have our attorney contact them regarding this fraud but they refused to give us any information and just rudely hung up.

Last but not least, neither Ypedia nor Yellow Pages Online Services is a taxable entity in Texas. I just want all new business owners out there to be aware that YELLOW PAGES ONLINE SERVICES is not the real Yellow Pages! No matter how they tried to threaten you, do not pay this SCAM company!!! Stand up and fight for your legal right.
