Ramada Plaza Resorts What Can They Do to Me? ripoff Fort Lauderdale Florida

I read some of the reports that people wrote. I also received a Vacation voucher for $1,600.00. What I don't understand is how people would pay $698.00 for what? The $1,600.00 voucher they send you is more than enough money for 3 nights in Florida and a cruise, one day in Nassau. a tour is their business, they cannot charge for that. 7 days of renting a car, you can get yourself on Hotwire.com for $14.00/day. and you don't have to take the trips to Nevada and Mexico. so really, to me the only monies you'd be laying out is for your airfare and food in Florida/Nassau.
Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the way I read it.
Thank you.

One thing I just noticed is Virginia asks in her title, What can they do to me? Not sure what is meant by that, but they can't force you to hand over your credit card information.
As for the question I asked, I'm answering my own question, lololol. Found a new report where the writer did call Ramada regarding the $1600 voucher, this is the link, and his report.

'Ramada Plaza Resorts claimed I would be given a $1,600 credit towards a miracle vacation package. When I called, I had to pay approximately $1,400 to get the $1,600 credit, which turns out to be worthless. They said the offer was only available that day because of "overwhelming demand" but they called me back about a week later and said I could have the same offer for $200. What a joke.

So, if anyone calls and has a better experience, I really would like to hear about it. At least, here, Michael got a $200 offer a week later!

Virginia, please call Ramada and explain your rationale to them. If you don't get hit up for a sum in excess of $500, please post the details of your call here, what you said and how you counter any requests for additional sums to be paid by you other than your airfare and food. The airfare and food clearly would not necessitate any payment to Ramada of any kind.
I truly want to know how this can be successfully done with Ramada, where the voucher can be redeemed and Ramada doesn't receive any additional money from the customer.
