This company provides the international calling service. However, their customer service is beyond terrible. Even when they are at fault still they would not fix it. First of all, there is no way to contact them live. There is no phone number, there is no live chat, the only way you can contact them is via email. They take forever to get back to you and they always come up with a big 'no'. They never ever try to resolve the issue. I think they should come up with the slogan “We are here not to help our clients" that would fit them perfectly!!!!!
When I make a call and party even doesn't answer the phone still my account gets charged. I try to resolve the issue but they never credited my money. Now, recently they were advertising the lower rate to a particular destination so I added the money to take advantage of it. However, when I made call I realized that I was still charged at a higher rate. When I contacted the customer service and ask them they said there is a prom code that needs to be used in order to take advantage of the lower rate. I said I didn't know that and can you please take care of it? They never did. I felt like got robbed by Rebtel. Why they have to be so pathetic?
Is there a worst customer service award? Please give it to Rebtel they highly deserve it!!!!

In this instance YOU have ASSUMED that the party not answering your call means no charge. The reality is that by even dialing the number you have used the service. This is where those long distance companies failed quickly. You enter your provider code then dial the number. Even if the other party didnt answer I was still charged 50 cents each attempt. A SHORT call would cost me MORE then a call lasting 30+ mins. SO just getting their answering machine would cost me alomst a whole dollar PER CALL!!!!It hasnt been a no charge if they dont answer in a VERY long time. A carrier long distance plan will give you that benefit. A third party provider is going to charge you each and every time. I would suggest just getting a prepaid phone with outside the US calling. Its much cheaper in the long run.
