#1 UPDATE Employee ..inside information

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT an official representative of Red Lobster Seafood Company or any affiliates. I am not authorized to, nor do I purport to, speak on the Company's positions or policies as a whole, but are answering concerns based on my experiences and understanding as a current employee of The Company. Any remarks made by me should be taken as my opinion, and not as the official view of Red Lobster Seafood Company.

First, I would like to say that yes, I realize that this report is over a year old. However, as it pertains to the company for which I have been employed for five years and is the first result to display, I feel it is necessary to comment and straighten things out.

There has never been a "Bait and Switch" option with the "Create Your Own Combination" section of either the lunch or dinner menu in the five years I've served (and I've been through several menu updates and at least 16 promotions). We used to list the upcharge information in the fine print in a single line underneath the Create Your Own Combination selection option box, but we now list individual upcharges on premium items. There has always been an upcharge to make one of your selections steak or snow crab legs, and we have clearly marked two new additional upcharges recently, for the Garlic Grilled Sea Scallops and the Crab Alfredo. But these prices are clearly marked.

To address the issue on portion sizes, our linguini options only come in one size, honestly. Every portion is made equal in size to ensure fairness in food delivery and consistency in price. The difference between a lunch (or Create Your Own, or Endless Shrimp single refill) size and a dinner is the number of portions plated on a single plate. A lunch, CYO, or Endless refill is one portion, while a full or dinner portion is two on the same plate. I've never had a complaint about the size of the portions in the four Red Lobsters in three states for which I've worked; however, I have never been to your part of the country except to visit, so I can't speak for consistency in food preparation where you are; just stating how things are in the specific stores for which I've worked.

I hope this clarifies any confusion for anyone reading this report. Thank you for reading.
