I bought a home for my daughter in Oct. 2011 and she is a single mom trying to take care of things on her own and to establish a good credit report... She pays  the Mortgage, Insurance, and all utilities and she took it that the HOAs were included in the mortage payment.

In July 2012 after 2 HOAs payments were missed $120.00 Stonefield HOA Reno Nv froze the account and turned it over to Red Rock Collection Agency.

Stonefield HOA did not inform her of their decision in anyway shape or form and Red Rock Agency made NO EFFORT to contact her either as in registered mail, certified mail or regular mail as to their intent to recover payment. NOTHING...

My BANK are the ones who informed me of the lein in mid March 2013 almost 10 months after the fact  that Red Rock Agency were planing to forclose on the house and were looking to collect a bill for $2,696.00.

Red Rock sat on the information for almost 10 months without informing her or myself about the debt and accumilated $2,576.00 in fees added to the debt of $120.00.

How can she fix things when she doesn't know its broken,  my personal opinion on this is that its a major scam and I'm just wondering if the HOAs and Red Rock are working this together against the NON INFORMED homeowners... it does have cause for some doubt  but thats just my opinion and I'm going to research this a lot deeper, not going down without a fight.

Mr. T Welsh.

Dear Mr. T Welsh,

AUTHOR: Red Rock Financial Services - (United States of America) - ()

POSTED: Monday, May 13, 2013

Red Rock Financial Services (Red Rock) is committed to providing ethical and honest collection services to all our homeowners. Our efforts ensure that the homeowners in good standing do not have to pay for the non-paying homeowners; therefore, the delinquent homeowner is responsible for our collection costs and fees. Our collection fees are accumulative as we progress through the foreclosure process required in each state. These fees are charged against the delinquent homeowners. The same fees apply regardless of the amount owed; therefor, the amount that is charge per specific collection step is the same regardless of the delinquent assessment amount we are trying to recover for the association.

We send out all of our collection letters via certified mail to all homeowners to all known addresses. We encourage our homeowners to contact us throughout our collection process. Every homeowners association enacts their own collection policy that is followed by Red Rock and typically includes sending several reminder notices plus certified letters prior to a lien being filed. Red Rock is fully compliant with all laws and regulations that govern our collection process and fees. Certain states like Nevada regulate these collection fees and our collection fees are in compliant with what is specified by the State. We are one of the lowest cost providers in our industry in all the states that we service.

We look forward to assisting this homeowner and working with them regarding their concerns with the process and their account. We would encourage this owner to contact us at 702-932-6887 to discuss any outstanding concerns.

Thank you,
Red Rock Financial Services
