Red Rock Financial Services FDCPA Violators, Ignore Dispute Letters Las Vegas Nevada

Red Rock Financial Services sent us a collection letter. They purport to follow the FDCPA but when we sent in a dispute letter, with proof of service and all, they ignored us and eventually sent us to another collection agency. The second collection agency is some law firm that is threatening to take our house. This is all over a few hundred bucks that we were perfectly willing to pay, we just wanted a copy of the contract we signed together with an itemization of fees. We were considering disputing the fees per adhesion contract doctrine and substantive unconscionability but now things have gotten even more complicated as there is a whole new collector on the case.

I work for a collection agency myself and its companies like this that end up giving us legislative headaches every couple of years. This is the kind of garbage that gave fuel to the proposed reduction in garnishments to 10% (which thankfully was vetoed).
