Rentalcars.com Dishonest thieves and liars, avoid at all cost Internet

My advice is to avoid this company at all cost. Their prices are completely inaccurate, their terms are inaccurate, their representatives are liars. This is nothing more than a scam company. Hands down the worst car rental company I have ever dealt with.

Scheduled two rentals thru them, first one for $140 for 4 day rental, only to find out at counter that I would be charged an additional $330 Euros. Obviously was not going to an additoinal three times the cost and cancelled reservation. Given they had lied to me, decided to cancel second reservation. Went to cancel reservation online and was not able to because the cancel button does not work. Tried three different browser, same result. Then tracked down phone number, which you will not find easily, only to have phone ring and no one pick up. Finally sent an email with no response. Eventually just called my credit card company to block them and challenge all charges. My CC company was able to get thru on a different number. Wound up having a three way call with a lieying representative that wanted to charge a cancellation fee despite fact they advertise free cancelation and there is no way to cancel on site. Eventually came to an agreement where they discounted price of second rental by $100, sure enough once I got to counter terms were once again completely different from what rentalcars.com had stated.

This is a company that essentially employs scumbag liars and finds ways to scam customers. Even CC representative tapped into fact that this was a dishonest company and went above and beyond to help me challenge charges.

There is absolutely no reason you should use their services. You will get cheaper rates going to rental car company directly, you will have free cancellation with no restrictions, and you will not have to pay anything upfront.

I have rented countless cars with no incident whatsoever. This is the first bad experience I have ever had. It's my hope to help others avoid being scamed by these liars.
