Rentalcars.com RIPOFF Cancun Mexico Internet

I found rentalcars.com online to rent a vehcile for our trip to Cancun Mexico.  The price was to good to be true! They charged me in full $94 plus change for the rental and I bought the additional piece of mind insurance $100.00. When I arrived in Cancun and was escorted to the rental car facility everything fell apart.

I was charged an additional $292.46 for rental and insurance and they told me i would get a refund from Rentcars.com (a division of Priceline).

I was also explained by the company in Mexico that there would be a $1500 hold on my credit card.  Something rentalcars did not tell me during rental process.  (Liam was the gentleman i spoke with) BTW they are located in Eurpoe.

However, when I called rentalcars backed 2 days after my return to the states they told me it should have been a max of $800.  Whatever the amount This did effect the amount of monies spent on trip as we did try to stay on an appropiate budget for a 8 day trip.

The car itself was very dirty with many bumps and brusies that I knew to take pictures of.  The horn also did not work. Overall would not recommend this company to anyone.
