I purchased a 1999 Montecarlo back in July of 2008. Rightway charged me almost 11,000 for a car that was only worth about 1,000 dollars I put a thousand dollars down on the car and was financed thru gateway financial for 9,400 dollars. Considering that this is the only dealership that could finace me with my credit situation at the time I signed the papers and accepted the car. Since then I've had several problems with the vehicle I had to replace the transmission which costed me a total of 1,100 dollars, the tires on the car was bald so I had to buy 4 new tires, tune up, exhaust work, new mufflers and lots more just to get the car to make it thru the winter and now it needs several other repairs. Gateway financial services the finance company that they do business with is not any better they have tracking devices on all of these vehicles and will shut it down if you don't make your payment on the exact date that you are due. I've never had to deal with anything like this ever which is crazy considering what the car is worth and all the work that the car still needs. No one will sell me another car because im double upside down in this dump and the car is not even driveable they have truely ripped me off and I don't know what to do to get out of this situation.

Why would you pay $11,000 for a car that was worth $1,000. You said you had $1,000 to put down, why didn't you just buy a similar car for cash and avoid paying a ridiculously high interest rate on $11K?
" Considering that this is the only dealership that could finace me with my credit situation at the time I signed the papers and accepted the car."
So, your credit was so bad you were forced to by an old beat up car at eleven times its market value at what was likely a very high interest rate? Did it occur to you that if this was your only choice that maybe you could not afford to buy a car? Bottom line is that no one forced you into this deal. You did it to yourself. If you keep it up, you'll never get out of the bad credit hole you've dug for yourself.
