Rising Star Learning took unauthorizided money out of account after cancellation Boulder Colorado

My 12 year old got sucked in trying to get a $25.00 target gift card and ordered the free trial from this company using my husbands debit card. As soon as I started getting emails confirming "my" orders I started calling companies. All the companies that he had orderd "trial" merchandise on were very helpful and understanding except for Rising Star Learning. They stated I could not cancel my membership until the package had been recieved.

When asked why this was, they stated that I had to have adaquate time to review the learning cd's to determine whether or not I wanted to keep them. Again I explained that I did not order them, my 12 year old did, and that I was absolutely sure I did not want them. They still said I had to wait until the package was recieved before I could cancel. NOW I KNOW WHY. Upon calling them when the package arrived they stated that my free trial period had expired. HOW CONVIENIENT FOR THEM!!!

They refused to issue me an RMA number and refused to refund my $80.54. The people I spoke to were Wes, Brian, and the "supervisor" Aaron. Aaron did however assure me that he would cancell my membership and no further charges would be debited to my account. WRONG!!!!! about 2 weeks later they hit the card for three different charges,which put my account in the negative and I was charged $30.00 for each one by the bank. We are the parents of five boys and it's almost Christmas.

THIS IS WRONG!!! We are currently filing a report with the BBB and are also going to file a report with the FTC. I am still researching this and am going to file a report with anyone I can. THESE PEOPLE ARE IMMORAL, UNETHICAL HOGS AND I PRAY THAT THEY WILL SEE WHAT HORRIBLE PEOPLE THEY ARE.
