RJM Acquisitions LLC credit scam newport news mitchell n kay plaza associates Hauppauge New York

Out of the blue on 8 2002, I receive a letter from the Law offices of Mitchell N. Kay telling me that I owe spiegels/eddie bauer/newport news 1500 dollars.

I have never opened up an account with any of those stores so I call the number listed on the letter. The person on the other line was friendly and told me when the account was opened back in 1992 at an address that I moved out of in 1991. It took them 10 years to get this information to me? So I stated to them on the phone that this is not my debt and that I'll be writing a letter to them to prove that it is my debt or remove it.

I didn't hear from them again. Then in 2 2003 I receive a letter form Plaza Associates stating the exact same thing!!! They didn't remove it from my records, they sold it to another CA. I tell Plaza the same thing and write basically the same letter. Recently I applied for a debit card from my bank and they call me up saying that the newport news debt is reflecting bad on my credit report. I had no idea that it was even on my credit report!!

So all those letters and phone calls did NOTHING! I also tried to call RJM and they won't answer the phone, I also tried a different number and they were listed as MKM Acquisitions a.k.a. Plaza Associates. I'm at my wits end, so I have filed an investigation on my credit report. Seems to be the only way to remove this fraud from your credit report.
