They report that they have taken over for Structure/Express from an account that I opened January 27, 1999 and last paid on April 16, 2001 and the bill is for $398.53. Never had an account with this company and I have lived at the same address for 20 years and never received any bills from the above named companies previuosly. Bought 2 new cars last year, did not show up on my credit report. These people don't answer their phone and I plan on contacting a lawyer.

Cindy, here's the deal

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

RJM is a scavenger debt buyer.

They obviously bought this debt and the portfolio was probably missing SS#/DOB info.

So they just do a directory search and send bills to anyone with your name hoping someone will bite.

Don't call them as they can capture your # even if it is unlisted or blocked.

Don't waste your money on a lawyer.

Send them a debt validation letter where you tell them the debt is not yours, and you wish to see whatever contract you allegedly signed to create it. Send this by certified mail, return reciept requested and put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records.

Do not provide them any personal info such as SS# or DOB. Only give them whatever info is on the letter they sent you.

Chances are good that after doing this, you will never hear from them again.

Good Luck!
