Taking Advantage of Senior Citizens... Beware! This company will approach you stating they can get your insurance company to cover your damaged roof at no cost to you! They have you sign stating you're authorizing them to discuss your roof situation with your insurance company. They say you're under no obligation to them. Well, low & behold, you find out later that you did in fact sign for them to do the job & they have your insurance company write a three party check that's supposed to be submitted to Roofmax! Roofmax then says you're still responsible for your deductible! So much for nothing out of pocket! They also refuse to give you anything in writing detailing exactly what they're doing for the job! They also won't give you a start date for the job! They then hold you hostage.

RMX BIG Rip OFF CONFIRMED

AUTHOR: Kristina - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, August 12, 2018

See other complaints on RMX - see law suit being filed in Jacksonville FL.

The quality of the work is below standard, and the company rips off the insurance companies by filing claims that are too high in value.

This company hires cheap sub-contractors that are neither employees of RMX or do they receive any benifits from RMX - and it is to be determined if they are even insured and licensed.  I know for a fact that the roofing crew that placed shingles on my house were neither licensed or insured, as a matter of fact some of them did not even have papers, as a Hispanic speaking neighbor confirmed.

The roofing crew that showed up at my house were 6 Mexican workers of which only one spoke English.  He explained with the help of a translator that they receive $3000 per roof replacement, no matter how much or how little work the roof requires.  The shingles are supplied by RMX, but the cost of wood and other materials come out of the money of the sub contractor.  Therefore, the subcontractor will replace as littel wood as possible and use the cheapest grade of wood available, they take short cuts and often nail shingles on rotten wood - as in my case (see other complaint, Jacksonville FL).  When the job gets too much and the crew cannot make a profit they will stop and not finish the work (as in my home repair), and RMX does not care.

The Gernal Manager Tim tries everythign in the book to get more money out of people by lying, exaggerating etc.  This company should be banned from making insurance claims.

The best way to bring this company to justice is to start with a Better Business Nureau complaint, then get legal assistance and start a lawsuit to get justice, inform your insurance company not to pay out any money for claims and fire this contractor.

RMX DOES A GREAT JOB

AUTHOR: William - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 03, 2018

We don't take advantage of anyone. Our business model is to explain to homeowners with roof or interior damage that they can possibly have there insurance company pay for damages minus the deductible in which they have to pay. The form that we have them sign clearly states the word contract on the very top, as a matter of fact it is right below our company header in bold letters so that homeowners see it. When the insurance company approves the claim they send the homeowners a breakdown of all the materials and the amount that they will be paying. We charge what the insurace company pays. This is a very simple process the issue is that the homeowners are not reading what they are signing. If they read what they signed we would not have this issue because everything is spelled out on our two page contract.
