Robinsons-May ripoff Service Ripoff Unlawfully detained my daughter and Retaliated when she complained Moreno Valley California

On New Years Day 2005, Robinsons May and their Loss Prevention department accused my daughter of shoplifting -- which she proved to be false. The officers Frank Valencia and Matt Piper admitted they only had the cameras on my daughter because she fit the profile of recent shoplifters; they let her go when they saw the ring on the counter, which was right where she told them it was.

My daughter felt violated because they strong-armed her OUTSIDE of the store, and wouldn't let her tell her sister behind her where she was going, and wouldn't let her call her family. Her sister presumed that she was being kidnapped, ran after her.

My daughter, her sister, and friend RETURNED to Robinsons-May to lodge a formal complaint against the officers, however, the manager unknowingly called Frank Valencia to witness the complaint. Before my daughter could explain, the officer interrupted my daugther and wouldn't let her explain; he even told the manager to "be quiet".

The officers then RETALIATED, asked for my daughters personal information, told her they was going to put her name on a list and charge her with a felony next time she did something like this (although she did nothing).

Long story short -- the sheriff found that my daughter's rights were violated. But the sheriff tried to keep the peace. The officer, Frank, said he would not apologize for doing his job; they never let my daughter lodge a formal complaint, and no one from Robinsons-May or the Loss Prevention department ever returned our calls.

Robinsons May is target "Short, african-american females" by their own admission. Frank Valencia even told my daughter that he brought another officer with him because he "Was beaten up by a lady" before.

NO crime was committed and no action was pursue by Robinsons May until my daughter tried to complain to the executive manager.
