Rowe Recruitment & Partners Patrick Mullins Bait & switch with phony craigslist job posting Internet

I responded to a craigslist job posting titled Bookkeeper Administrative Support (St Louis), and the next morning received a response from a person called Patrick Mullins at Rowe Recruitment & Partners.  The message told me that they were interested in interviewing me next week, and wanted me to go through an online screening process to which he provided a link.

The link took me to a pretty well put together questionnaire where I gave short answers about my qualifications and so on, but after I clicked 'submit', I was taken to a page explaining that the last step was an identity verification/background check in the form of a credit check.  It said that they would receive some type of identity confirmation that wouldn't show my credit history on their end, which sounded ridiculous. 

The link, of course, led to the site Creditreport.com, which offers credit reporting on a paid monthly basis.  It's 'free' for a week, then they charge you $14.95 a month if you don't cancel your membership.  I would have had to create my own account on this site, and there seemed to be no mention of linking it to Rowe Recruitment & Partners.

The company's website, www.rowe-recruitment.com, stands up to about 3 seconds of scrutiny before you notice that every section of the site, Services, Companies, Contact Us, etc, is 'under construction'.  Also, there's some strange story about how they're dedicated to helping the people of Belize.

Basically, a scam to get people to sign up for the credit report site.  My e-mail to Patrick Mullins was returned with an error message as undeliverable.
