Approximately one year ago we received a phone message looking for a person with a similar name to one of our daughters. We ignored the first few calls then decided to call the number they left.

My wife explained that there was no such person with that name, explained our daughter had a similar name but that she had never applied for credit, didn't own anything, and this couldn't be her bill. They were nice enough to say they'd remove our phone number.

Then the calls started up again. The next time I called and had the same conversation my wife had. I, too, was told our phone number would be removed. We didn't have any more phone calls until yesterday. My wife called the number and the person answering the phone was rude and nasty. She wouldn't let my wife get in a full sentence. She said she'd take us off their list but my wife wanted to talk to a supervisor to make sure. The woman wouldn't give out any information about the company or their address and hung up. My wife called back - the woman was a little nastier and hung up again. After a few more tries she asked me to call.

I called and got the same woman and was immediately sent into rage mode. How dare they call us for a full year on something that wasn't connected to us, tells us we'd be removed from the call list, and then not give us two minutes to state our case. The woman was rude, obnoxious, and had no business using a telephone - let alone calling us. I was so outraged I called her back no less than ten times in a row screaming that they needed to stop calling us.

I then found this web site and called another phone number and got a more reasonable person. She said she had heard about how angry I was and assured me she would investigate the matter. Well, we'll eventually know whether she did or not. As with my Warranty USA complaint, I just want to purchase a loud whistle and start blowing it in their ears every time they call me. That's the level of anger they have pushed me to.
