Sallie Mae has been using unseamly practices to coerse more interest and moneys from graduates. Multiple forms are often sent to sign up for the appropriate loan repayment situation. Right before the high interest kicks in the notifications come thathat the loan payment method is invalid because of xyz and then you start getting the highest payments possible for your student loans. I recieved a payment schedual of over 1000 a month for example. You then are called and they tell you you only have so many times you can use your deferment priviladge and then they insist you fill out another form. You in the mean time forced to have a deferment which causes higher interest to accrue. The advice given by those on the phone hhave always led to the above things occuring again. The harassing phone calls can be very violent and thretening especially if women answer the phones. This cycle continues until there are no options and anyone that is on disability including myself is treated rudely and even more violent...the manipulation is far worse than the normal student....I can do only certain jobs but desire to get off the system so went back to school to persue the goal...sallie mae has actually called me a liar and that I am trying to steal from them and that I went to school just to get money to live on...not true...I need help and protection...I am hearing impared and they have been notified. All the callers accept 5 were thick accented individuals that yelled at me.
