salter school mislead me to believe they could help me find a job, refused to follow up on calls fall river Massachusetts

In 2006-2007 I had applied for a student loan to attend the salter school in fall river, MA. I was, a mother (stepmother, as I have not officially adopted my son legally) to a child with a severe illness so work was not an option along with school. I felt that to better care for my son, I should attend school to find a job that would offer better benefits and would help me educate myself on his condition. What the school had to offer seemed to good to be true, so I signed up, as the had promised I would only have to complete a 9 month course to become a certified medical coder, and insurance claims specialist. I was promised help with job placement once I had completed the program and graduated, however I became pregnant during that time and when I graduated, I was 5 months along. Knowing that it would be hard to find a job while I was so far along, I held off until my son was 3 months old before I began calling the school to set up an appointment with the career counselor, at the time it was Allison (I cannot remember her last name) and was not ever able to reach her. I had left messages on her voicemail and with the secretary for her to call me back, but never did receive a call back. So I decided to go out on my own and try to find work. For the next 8 months I had sent in my resume to various hospitals and doctors offices in hopes of finding something soon, but was very unsuccessful. After that time frame I had given up my search and continued to call and leave messages, but still never received a call back. When my son was 3 years old, I decided to try again and found that the same staff that worked at the school was no longer there, but was told that someone would be in touch with me, again no luck. Here it is 7 years later, after I had graduated, I finally received a call from the salter school in fall river about a month ago, but they were looking for someone else, I informed them of what had taken place and the woman on the phone explained to me that they were looking to have their alumnus come in for auditing and she took my information and told me someone would call me back, but yet again I still have yet to receive a call from them. 

What started out as a nearly $8000 loan, as I did receive a MA grant, but not a federal Pell grant, I am now well over $12000 in debt with no way of digging myself out. I have contacted several companies in regards to the student loan forgiveness program and was told that by the time I would have paid off my loan, it would be more like $18000, and that they could help take care of only a portion of my loan as I am a working mother, still a single mother of now 2 boys, making just over minimum wage. I have not paid a dime into my loan and I cannot afford the bills with 2 children, rent and bills. I am appalled that this school is still allowed to operate under these false pretenses and still continue to take in new students. Something needs to be done about this!
