SALUTE-VISA SALUTE CHARGES ANNUAL FEE TO CLOSE ACCOUNT - RIPOFF - WONT RESPOND TO INQUIRIES Atlanta Georgia

Salute Visa, supposedly one of those "build back your credit" cards. Not only charges a monthly account maintenance fee of $6.50 after all of the up front fees i was stupid enough to pay in efforts to try to work on rebuilding credit. NOW..... 10/21/08, Salute charges my account without me knowing a $150.00 Annual Fee ????? and then adds a $50.00 annual fee credit but then charges a $6.50 monthly fee, and on 11/4/08, i recieve a letter dated 10/24/08 stating that "Unfortunatley, the Salute Program has been cancelled/discontinued, but I still owe all of the money." Keep in mind, i don't care to pay what i charged. HOWEVER, i am now expected to pay their $150.00 annual fee that was added to my account without my knowledge, three days before their closing letter was dated.... NOT!!! If the account is closed, i owe MAYBE for three days of that 365 days that they were supposedly going to charge me annually.
***On the back of every statement, there is a paragraph that reads "Federal Truth in Lending Disclosure Upon Renewal of Annual Fee" it states that "If your account is subject to an Annual Fee, then when the renewal Annual Fee is billed on your statement, you will have 30 days from the time the statement is mailed to avoid paying the fee and have the fee credited if you terminate credit availability under the account. You may use the card during the interim period without having to pay the fee." NOW... seeing as to how SALUTE terminated all credit availability even though i was paid up to at least 50% of what i had owed, why do they get by with charging the FEE????
DO NOT MESS WITH SALUTE. TRIBUTE IS ALL CONNECTED TO THE SAME PEOPLE AS WELL. They take advantage of people trying to fix their stupid credit...
