APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS AGO I RECEIVED A 40 INCH SAMSUNG FLAT SCREEN TV AS A GIFT.
TV DOES NOT GO ON BUT POWER BUTTON LIGHTS UP AND OCCASSIONALLY FLASHES.
SAMSUNG REPAIR GUY CAME TO MY HOUSE AND TOLD ME THERE IS SOMETHING MECHANICALLY WRONG WITH THE SCREEN.
WHEN I ASKED WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMETHING ELSE GOES WRONG WITH THE TV AFTER THE REPAIR IS DONE AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE OUT OF LUCK.
THIS PAST FRIDAY JAN 4, 2019 SAMSUNG CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS CALLED ME AND TOLD ME IN RESPONSE TO MY REQUEST TO REPLACE THE TV WITH ANOTHER TV OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE AND I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT WARRANTEE THE REPAIR MORE THAN 90 DAYS AND THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE THE TV WITH ANOTHER MODEL.
THERE ARE ALSO COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET RELATED TO OTHER TVS THEY MADE.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG THEY REFUSE TO STAND BEHIND THE TVS THAT THEY MAKE!!!!!

You claim they don’t stand behind their products but your TV was repaired under warranty. Your expectation of a replacement TV in anticipation of future problems is absurd and unreasonable.
The product warranty guarantees repair not replacement. They honored the guarantee.
