I worked for David Long for two years. I came into the car business with no money and was hanging on by a thread. Not only did he provide me with an advance to make it to and from work; but also the most intense and inspirational training I have ever had. He was involved in every aspect of the selling process and made sure his employees were motivated and eager to sell.

The store you claim he began running in NC was selling under 30 cars per month before his arrival. Within three months he had more than tripled sales and also tripled our per vehicle revenue. His employees loved working for him and new that they had a strong leader who would help in any car deal working. His ability to inspire and strengthen a sales team is unparalled. My pay was always correct. Customer satisfaction was through the roof.

Mr. Long never used drugs and would not tolerate any employee who did. And as for your complaint against a sales process...It is called "sales." Any successful business that is based on selling has a process whether it be the car business or a cell phone company. It is a great process that makes both the customer and the sales person happy.

He helped me as well as my colleages in personal matters as well as work issues far more than any other boss I have ever seen.

As far as his personal history your information is not correct and I am sure that can be verified. If any information was shared with you it was to encourage you. He wants people to know that no matter what kind of situation you may have found yourself in the past is not important because you can create your own future. David Long works with integrity and made sure employees did the same. We had ethical standards that had to met or our jobs would be immediately terminated.

It was a pleasure working for David Long and when I purchase my next vehicle it will definitely be from a company he works for.

Front page of Sarasota Herald Tribune July 29th and July 24th. While I worked there we were told it was in our best interest to give funds to campaign and we would be reimbursed. Many did for fear of losing job. Now as many as 5 people have come forward telling same thing. Besides the 50 million dollar plus lawsuit against him for illegal BUSINESS PRACTICES HE IS BEING INVESTIGATED FOR ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS. i HAVE BEEN CALLED AT LEAST 30-40 TIMES A DAY SINCE STORY BROKE!

On Saturday My mailbox was broken into and have been getting small hints not to testify. As I am disabled I have to take pain meds and went to pharmacy and was told I was recently red flagged. I have seen same Dr. for 5 years and will be taken off. My cable was canceled but not by me.Car was seized for driving violation Saturday saying it was to be searched for drugs. Nothing found but was locked up until my mailbox was wrecked and mail stolen. Others have called with same things happening.

David Long left the sate after being threatened with death on a daily basis. Guys he is in N.C. near Duke in a dealership. Their sales are nothing now-from 425 amonth to 150 new and used. All ecxept for a few left and are excelling in other dealerships asking why did I work for him. Vern bought new Limo 125,000 and does not come to hometown due to he only got 26% of votes in Distict 13-Fl. Can't hide behind blood money. All his dealerships , when they start to do good, the people who did it were fired.

P.S. GSM at Venice Nissan brought Nissan to 90 cars a month new from an average of 40 a month and was quickly fired as were others. A new salesman who looked up to Used car manager went to his house one night because he had fight with wife. Greg Rockleind called escorts (his wife was not home) and would not pay. The 23 year old salesman was murdered by escort with knife to heart. Nothing was done at dealership. 75% of gross is srevice and 25% is market share. They had no service shop with only one poor mechanic. a sales manager that is widely hated by all customers in sarasota county was hired and put his pic in ad. My ads were copied after I left and they took all my ideas and put to work. As stupid as Don the Gm is he forgot to put prices though in the ad which was supposed to be with 3000 down and had to sell loser ($) cars. Don't use my work because there will be always 1 thing that will not be known except by me.

David Long and everybody else got fired! He is in Raleigh North Carolina At a Car dealership. Nobody could get him he thinks. In auto biz word travels quick when it comes to money.
