Sarasota Ford ripoff Sarasota Florida

My husband and I went into Sarasota Ford to buy a vehicle on Tuesday June 7th 2005. We took in my 2005 Nissan 350Z to trade in and get a 05 Ford Expidition.
The reason for trade in was because I just found out that i'm pregnant so the 350z was not going to work for us anymore.

They told us that they should be able to help us. We ended up making a deal with sarasota ford that night.
We were going to put the car in my name only. They checked my credit told me that there was no problems. They gave us a price for our car and we made a deal.

We were sent over to financing. I went through the whole processing signed all the papers. Signed the contract. Transferred the tag and title from the 350z to the expidition. I have on my contract that I signed how much they gave us for our 350z ( trade in ) my monthly payments, when my payments are due every month, my payoff balance, what bank the loan was through. When papers were all signed and done we switched keys over and I drove off the lot with the 05 expidition.

The next day I received a phone call from our sales person he called to make sure that we got home ok and to see how we like our new expidition and to say thank you. The following Friday, 3 days after the purchase of the car I receive another phone call from Eric our sales person at sarasota ford he told me that there might be a problem in financing the vehicle.

He told me that my credit was not good enough. That I will need to get a co-signer. I told him that I can't get a co-signer. And asked him why my credit was fine Tuesday night to purchase the vehicle but now on friday its not 3 days later. He didn't seem to have an answer for me. He just told me that he would try to work something out and call me back in a few minutes. I never received a phone call back from him. So I figured maybe they figured it out.

The following Monday June 13th I receive a phone call from a Tom at Ford. He told me that either I would need to get a co-signer or the deal wasn't going to go through and we would need to return the car.
Monday night I discussed it with my husband who was VERY upset about the whole matter. We read over the papers that I signed and it said nothing about the matter.

We also contacted a lawyer and a couple car dealerships that my husband knows and explained the matter to them they thought that ford was totally ripping us off and something did not sound right. When we did the deal they ended up giving us alot for our car that we traded in because we had some negative equity. I think that they ended up losing money on the deal and the big boss at Sarasota Ford saw the papers the next day and didn't like it and told the other guys lower then him to fix this.

Last night by husband called and talked to some Joe which is supposed to be the finance manager. He was a jerk on the phone. My husband was very forward with him and told him that we were going to take legal action, and that we have our contract which shows this vehicle is ours.

He then tried to get my husband to say that we are refusing to return the vehicle. We told him that we are not refusing to return the vehicle but we are going to look into what we need to do to protect ourselves.
We talked about it last night and we decided to go ahead and return the vehicle and then afterwards see what we could do afterwards if anything. So we drove to sarasota again an hour and a half drive and returned the car we got our 350z back.

we are both very upset about it and would not suggest anybody to do any business at this location.
