Incident = I was contacted my this company to help modify my car loan.  I paid $350 to get a hand full of papers that I was supposed to fill out and send in.  They claimed that they had dealt with my lender many times successfully.  They did not tell me that I had to do the work myself and that they only provided the papers.  I could have done that without spending $350.  I called them to complain and they said to send in the forms and see what happened.  Well, the lender informed me that they don\'t modify loans that a newer than 24 months.  American Dream should have known this so they lied to me when they first called.  I have seen other complaints about them and they say they have worked with everyone.  They need to be stopped.  Why is no one doing anything about ripoff artists like this, especially when there are so many complaints.  I can\'t get them on the phone as their voice mailboxes are full (big shock there) and they refuse to answer any emails.  I am considering  going down to Ft. Lauderdale to confront them in person.  Probably will find that there is no company there, but worth the trip to see.  I am also considering litigation.

Damage Resulting = I am on limited income and out of work so I can\'t afford the money that was virtually wasted.  I want my money back.
