Two days ago my husband noticed a $1.00 charge on our credit card bill. I called the 800 number to complain and got an automated recording saying if I wanted to discontinue membership (I had never joined) to press '2'. When I pressed '2' I got another recording which asked for the membership # in order to discontinue my membership and then referred me to the following website "www.membersavings@savingsmart.com".

I sent an e/m which was the only way to contact them, threatening to call the State Atty General, fraud division if I didn't hear from them. Of course, I didn't hear from them, and last night I went on the website again to send another e/mail, and when I tried to send the e/mail, a sentence came up that my e/mail couldn't be sent. This is like trying to beat back the fog with a baseball bat!

This charge is only $1.00, but when you think of all the people who are getting charged $1.00, and perhaps not noticing it because they don't check their credit card bill carefully, it could add up to thousands of dollars!

The doubly scary thing for me is that we just changed the number on our primary credit card a month ago (the one being charged $1) because someone tried to steal it (the credit card company called and asked if I had requested a card to be sent to another state) If anyone has had a similar problem, and has been able to talk to someone at this company, please respond! I would also like to know how to go about finding this company.
