savings and recovery huge scam. these people are predators. san juan capistrano, California

A sales rep walked into my shop and introduced himself as a rep for Savings and Recovery Refund Specialists. He told me that many or most utility bills have errors and his company can find them and get a refund from the utility. He laid out the elaborate plan, looked at a few of my monthly bills and talked me into giving him a check for over $750.00. Yes, did I get taken!!! I paid upfront, and began to send copies of bills to them. I never heard another word from them, although they did send a packet of forms to fill out and mailing labels, etc. Never a word otherwise. So I began to call their Seattle office.

I could never reach my "auditor", Annie Nugent in San Juan Capistrano. I left phone message after message. Finally I threatened to drive over to their SJC office and confront my "auditor". That got immediate results. She called me and screamed and berated ME.....the client.  Saying I was in violation of my "contract", etc. I was the one who wasn't performing. On and on.

So now, I send in my monthly documents, hoping to hear from them, but I know that I never will.....Oh and the "guaranteed refund"???  Never going to be refunded.

Please go online, (like I didn't do) and look for reviews before giving or signing anything.  Oh, they say they're a BBB member.........we'll see.
