Having opened the home improvement account approximate April of 2012, The visiting sales representative looked over the house and quoted an estimate of approx 6000.00, but was overruled by her superior by an additional 2000.00 dollars.

The carpet, and floor repairs, were accomplished by an independant contractor.  The estimate was based on receiving plywood for the floor repair, but the independent contractor bought out pressed board.  I didn't mind because I felt it would be cheaper for me.  I had been under the impression that the plywood estimate was based on one of the baths, the kitchen, and living room.  Instead, it was only part of the bath, and verly slightly amount over on the kitchen.  The living room did not receive flooring,.

Additionally, the lanoleum was laid in the kitchen, atop a soft layer, than came in press board size.  When only a smaller amount was needed, they didn't put any, at all.  The result is to walk on areas that feel like rotten wood, about to fall through.

I did not receive an itomized list of what was used, or how much.  Apparently, they did not double check what the independant contractor provided.  No compromise was offered, and I am still required paying the original bill.
