kaiser hospital signed to have Securitas run there security at all there hospitals. Inter-con was the previous company. A union contract was established and ratified in 2009.
The contract states anyone with Inter-con would be able to carry over the length of time called senority. In January it will be my 10 year total combined with the two security companies. I should get 3 weeks paid vacation.
After the first year with securitas I was only paid 33 hours of vacation, not even 40 a complete year. Securitas stated we didn't work a full year with them, totally ignoring the Union contract.
As of now I still haven't seen the rest of my two weeks owed vacation. about 47 hours. In January it will be 3 weeks/120 hours.
Also in the contract we are allowed two paid sick days per year. not much and they don't carry over. Well I have called off sick 5 times with in the contract period and still I haven't got a sick days pay too cover for the 8 hours lost. In fact I was written up and final warning for calling off because it wasn't with in the 4 hours.

This is happening to all the officers on my site and I assume all Kaiser sites.
Securitas has also made mandatory for this coming week 7-6-10 to 7-12-10, a 12 day work day for all officers working 6 days for 72 total hours in one week. Due to a possible riots in Oakland 35 miles away from my Walnut Creek site. How totally stupid is that to have me work 2000 hours to 0800 hours along with 13 other officers. What can we do in a riot anyhow where security guards we observe and report they need to call the national guard. Day shift will have 17 Officers working 12 hours shifts.
