This message is two fold, Contractor beware!! We have used Service Magic before, almost 12 years ago. Our experiences before was old dead leads or completely fake leads, so it took a lot for them to try to convince me to sign again. Newer policies, lower pricing, sounded great. However one catch. If you get a dead lead you pay anyway, and this was the reason for the lower rates because you will get a few. The customer has a form to fill out, which Service Magic calls pre-screen, and if they fill it out completely you pay for that info. However, one week into this service we have two leads. the first never called us back, the second we immediately connected to him and got his voicemail so proceeded to leave a message and send an email. He called two days later and stated although he did fill out a form like that, it was a few weeks ago and his work has long been taken care of. Wow, resell leads if they don't have new ones!! Way to go Service Magic.

And Consumer beware!! Do you know your info is being SOLD to contractors and they will call you and most many times. Contractors don't want to pay for nothing. While companies like mine are more interested in giving you only what you need, we still would like to sell you our exceptional service in taking care of that need. So you will get called and you will get emailed, and by some contractors, maybe even "hounded". Service Magic doesn't screen contractors for reputation, quality of service or any other thing. They only check to see if the company has a current license and if the owner can pass a single point criminal background check, nothing more.
