I signed up for this jewelry club as a condition of one of those "free" offers (which are in themselves rip-offs, since I never received the free diapers I was promised) where you have to sign up for services/offers from 2 or 3 companies in order to receive the "free" product or service.  The initial terms were that they sent you a $9 introductory offer of a piece of jewelry, (the $9 was charged to my credit card) and then unless you cancel the service they periodically send you jewelry throughout the year and bill it to your credit card.
When the $9 introductory jewelry arrived, I called the number on the package and canceled my membership.  That seemed to be the end of it, as I received no more jewelry or charges for several months.  Then, out of the blue, an $89 charge I didn't recognize showed up on my credit card.  By this time, I had totally forgotten what Shop Dani even was where it had been so long since I'd canceled the membership, that it took me while to figure out what was going on.
I first tried calling the 800 number listed on their website, but was never able to talk to a human; just a machine saying "All representatives are currently busy.  Your call is important to us, blah blah blah."  I left a message stating my case, but didn't really expect to hear from them.  I then called my credit card company and explained the situation.  They reversed the charges and put a flag on that company so that any future charges from them wouldn't go through.
At this point, all I had was an $89 charge and no explanation.  I had not yet received any jewelry to go along with the money I was charged.  A few days later, however, a package arrived at my house containing a necklace that looked like someone had bought it at the Dollar Tree.  It was in no way worth $89.  I am sending the necklace back with a letter stating that I want no future jewelry or communications from them, that I've notified my credit card company about them, and that I want my account canceled.  Hopefully they'll actually do it this time.

I know how you're feeling. This EXACT same thing has happened to me with Dani Jewelry.
Except i primarily paid $1 for two pieces of jewelry (STUPID, i should have known it was a scam), and not even 24 hours later, there was already the $2 credit, as well as a $89 credit pending as well! I quickly called Dani Jewelry right after I saw this, and very suprisingly got to speak to a man about cancelling the "$89 Subscription" and he told me that the $2 would still go through, but the $89 charge would be removed.
Then while speaking to a clerk at my bank about 3 days later, he notified me that the $89 was STILL pending. So i tried calling Dani Jewelry again, but got no luck that time, just the "All representatives are currently busy.  Your call is important to us, blah blah blah."
So I called back a few times and left about 3 messages; no response to any of them. Fortunately, the $89 just sat on my account for about a week(just scaring the crap out of me while waiting for it to wrongfully go through), but then disappeared. It was finally over.
BUT THEN, 6 months later I was sitting at home, when I decided to check my account balance. Having completely forgotten about the whole thing just as you did, I was disgustingly surprised to see another $89 charge on my card! After venting to my parents about how stupid this is (and getting a lovely lecture on internet scams), I called my card company to let them know what was going on. They flagged the credit charge, and told me they would take care of everything. Turns out I had to get sent a new card. The only way to get around all this was to cancel that card, and get a new one, which was a just another hassle in itself. Thank you "Danielle Janine Jewelry" or "Haute Jewelry Direct" or whatever the hell your next name is going to be as you try to hide yourself again. Thank you for the added amounts of stress you've caused me twice now and you're dime store jewelry.

P.s. Rebecca of Talbott, please let me know how things go with you sending back the jewelry. I'd like to know if they even have the courage to respond to you after what they've done. Please, email me letting me know =] toolmantrevor@hotmail.com
