Shopping Quest Inc. And Assignment Coordinator (Scott) Mystery Shopping Fraud. They take your money and then they tell you there must be a mistake. Meridian Idaho

I received a letter in the mail from Shopping Quest Inc. saying that I am now a mystery shopper and giving me a check of $ 4998. I didn't think that it was a bad check because it was a cashier's check and the money was cleared through my bank within two days. I thought this was strange, but never-the-less the check had cleared and I was supposed to call my "assignment coordinator" to make sure I was given the best tasks and where to complete them. The money was distributed through the major stores, but there were also money transfers, where I guess is when they make their money. These were money transfers from my state to Canada. This was the largest amount of money going through the money transfers, thousands of dollars. I thought this was just the use of the service that was listed on my assignments that were printed in the letter, clearly I was mistaken.

After the tasks were completed I was to call my "assignment coordinator" whose name is Scott and give him the confirmation numbers for the money transfers to see where they went and if they went through. Scott told me to fax back the surveys of the stores I went to. Scott also said that he would get in touch with me to assign the next tasks (supposedly restaurants) and that if he did not contact me, I was supposed to contact him.

I have to pay bills, just like everyone else so I had to check my bank account. I went online and found that the check that they sent me for $4998 was a counterfeit. I contacted my bank and they froze my account to make sure nothing else happens and I also contacted the local police department. Naturally, they told me that I should not expect much to come from this. I am at my wits end and if there is something I can do, it would help me greatly.
