Add me to the long list of Silkies victims. My story is the same, but I returned the merchandise, at my own expense, with a letter telling them what I thought of them and their aggressive marketing.
Now I've received the "past due notice" and am concerned it will somehow make its way to my credit report (will it?). Otherwise, its a joke!
How can they get away with this and what can they do if you just keep the merchandise and don't pay your "bill?"
Unbelievable!

While perusing the other complaints about Silkies I found a phone number for them -- 1-877-SILKIES. I called, connected with a very efficient customer service representative and, lo, and behold, was told that they had received my returned pantyhose and the check reimbursing me for the postage cost was in the mail. And it was! They promised me I would receive no more unsolicited mailings. So I guess this is success!

You may be able to keep the item

If you, in no way, asked for the item; i.e. card, email, etc. expressing any sort of interest (that would have had the wonderful "small print"), than you are welcome to keep the item. That is at least true in the state of Indiana; you are in no way liable to purchase it. Don't let them take advantage of you. You might want to check with your state to ensure that this law is the same in your state.
