Skate America - Speed Team - Bossmotocross - Teamcyclist Skate America's entire website is a hoax! No people, no "100% gaurantee" - False Advertisement, Misleading and Illegal business practices. Golden Colorado

Called over 9 numbers (for 100% gaurantee, no hassle, ez return) before I finally said "screw this, it's another multi business scam in someone's basement garage"...so I called Gary Wink (president of the Golden, CO Chamber of Commerce) to see just what I could do (as false business practices across state lines is what Tommy Chong got thrown in jail for). Well, Mr. Wink had informed me that he had also recieved numurous complaints about the company and asked if I could mail him a letter containing all pertainent information and to possibly send a copy to the Attorney General of Colorado. After a lengthy discussion with Mr. Wink and discovering we had both had similar "junk" phone numbers, I continued to do some more homework. Found out that all the companies listed above, are not only in the same building but the call center rings different tones for different incoming calls (i.e. speedteam, skate america, etc.) with the same people answering. After calling 1.800.920.6649 and telling the CSR supervisor "ANDREW" how much the local commerce president loved my proposal and complaints about his company (and he said "yes, Mr. Wink has also called me") we finally got somewhere (I hope). He told me to send my product back, apologized for the lack of correspondence, and informed me that he would take care of my exchange for no fee. So, we'll see what happens as I told him that if my Visa is not credited promptly, that he would also have them as well as the Attorney General on their a*s (not to mention I have no qualms knocking on front doors with my camera for Youtube.com). So I'm returning my "more expensive shoes" today and I'll keep updating this. And from now on, it's PacSun if I need some skate gear, not this kind of crap.
Oh yeah, if some suit wants to call me up for "slander" or any other mountain granola crap - I dare you to call me with the COO of Skate America first cuz I used to work for the "largest in the industry" as well, and I'd love to give the Chief Ops Officer an earful of something I'm sure he'd love to hear - A CUSTOMERS FRUSTRATION OVER A BUSINESS JOKE.
