Skin Elements Free Trial Rip Off Nationwide

After ordering what appeared to be a FREE trial of Skin Element Beaury Inclusive skin cream and Eye Vibe, I agreed to pay $3.95 plus $.099 Shipping for the two products.  I received a confirmation email stating that that was what I was charged for.  There was no mention of any other charges or that I had to return the products within 14 days in order not to be charged for them.

After one  month, I received my credit card statement which showed that I had been charged $3.95 plus $5.95 for the postage and an additional $97.83 plus $105.79 for the two products.  This amount is not mentioned anywhere on the website.

I phoned the number on the credit card statement and was told that, because I did not return the product within the 14 day free trial, I would have to pay the amount billed.  Because I did not receive the bill until the 14 days was past, I had no way of knowing of this charge.

My credit card company told me that they had had over 50 calls about this company and that I had to deal with them directly because I did not read the fine print.  The problem is, there was no fine print.

How do they get away with this type of scam?!
