SKIN OPULENT SCAM Fountain Valley, CA; Toronto, Canada Nationwide

I would like to add some additional information regarding this issue. After cancelling my order on 2/19 (a Sunday and six days before the end of my 'trial' period) I contacted Skin Opulent via email and complained about the excessive return mail charge because of international shipping costs to Canada and received the following response:

"Thank you for contacting Skin Opulent Customer Support. We are very sorry about the inconvenience, and we are located in California. The manufacturing warehouse is in Canada. We would have been more than happy to help you with the product and avoid that extra processing charge, however, since you have already shipped that product, you took that ability out of our hands. We are unable to locate your account from the email we received from you.  Please call Customer Service for account confirmation and further assistance. We appreciate your business.Thank you for choosing Skin Opulent!(855) 549-2157"

They assumed I had already shipped but because the day after I cancelled was a holiday (no postal service) and I worked the day after that, I called before heading for this post office this morning. The customer service rep informed me that my only option was to return to the Canada address so I asked to speak with a supervisor but was informed by the CSR the supervisor would tell me the same thing.

First the Supervisor told me I could return the product to the California address, THEN she told me my account was cancelled and I would NOT incur any additional charges. When I pointed out to her that their recording clearly states if you do not return the product you wll be charged $38.71 for the trial bottle she stated that was not the case and repeated that I would not be charged anything further and a stated it was NOT necessary to return the unused product.

I made it clear that I was documenting the call, including the name of the CSR and the Supervisor, and if I incurred any further charges to my credit card I would file a formal complaint with the Attoney General inclusive of names, dates and times of conversations and the content of those conversations.

The supervisor quickly assured me that I would receive no further shipments, would incur NO additional charges, stated I did NOT need to return the unused product and said my account is cancelled/closed. I will monitor my credit card to ensure they do not attempt to charge me $38.71.
