Skyhawke Technologies Sky Trak Golf Sky Golf Sky Trak Golf Took My $2000 and Ran! Ridgeland Mississippi

Sky Trak is a golf launch monitor currently being advertised on the Golf Channel. I purchased a Sky Trak in November of 2016. We have a golf cage in the garage with a mat and netting.

My wife wouldn't use the Sky Trak because it sits on the ground a foot to the outside and in front of the golf ball.  She was afraid she would hit the Sky Trak with an errant shot.

I liked it. I think it performed well but ... in January of 2017 a golf ball bounced off the toe of my club and hit the Sky Trak. It stopped working.  I returned the Sky Trak to Skyhawke Technologies for repair. What I got was an email letting me know I could buy another one for $1200.  Less than two months after I purchased it and they want to sell me another one!

I complained and asked for a supervisor. I was sent another email saying I could send the Sky Trak back to the manufacturer Rapsodo for $400 plus international shipping and it might be 4 months before I see the unit again.

I called again and spoke the supervisor Stephanie Powell.  I asked for my unit to be swapped out immediately and I'd be happy to pay the $400 for them to refurbish my old unit.  She offered me a loner that they "had in the back somewhere" until my unit came back.

I requested a refund from Amazon and alerted Sky Trak that I consider my unit returned for a full refund.  I'll let you know haw it turns out. The actual emails follow.

Thank you for contacting us.  We have received your SkyTrak launch monitor into our facility.  After our technicians assessment, the device drops a connection and has a failed motherboard due to physical damage. 

Our technicians were unable to repair your device.  We do have replacement options available if you are interested in replacing the device.  We have a recertified SkyTrak available at special pricing at $1,195.00 plus shipping which is normally $1,700.00.

When a ball impacts the camera or the SkyTrak falls, the energy is transferred to the motherboard through the camera housing, which in turn damages the camera module on the motherboard. When the unit can no longer get data from the camera, the unit will drop all connections.

Another repair option is to send your device to Rapsodo.  The cost will be at least $400 plus international shipping to and from (based on what all they find wrong with the device).  We only send these devices when we have at least 40 to go back to Rapsodo.  The wait can be up to several months before it is shipped off and there is no ETA on the return back to us.
