skype.com FINALLY A CUSTOMER CONTACT SITE! Internet

Great news, Skype users! I emailed en_support@skype.net and provided:

1) account number, 2) invoice number, transaction date and amount, and you need to ask them to 3) provide website to access your IP (it's something like myip.net) which you must also  provide which will be 4 sets of 3 numerical digits. This helps Skype to identify you as a user online before they can assist you so when you write, first ask for this information.

Apparently the customer service reps do not speak English as a first language so there were several emails exchanged before my request for billing information was understood. In any case, I was able to determine that my subscription is intact. I had previously purchased pay-as-you-go minutes and each time I got onto skype, a green box appeared indicating "Your credit balance is running low. Set up auto-recharge and never drop a call." I was worried that my annual subscription was not active and I'd be bumped off a call. I'm in a country where Skype is banned so I have to first bring up the VPN and minimize it and then call from my computer to a landline or mobile in the U.S.  If I were to run out of money on my account from my residence, I would not be able to update and recharge the account. 

The customer service rep assured me my subscription is active but that I still have $1.77 leftover from the earlier pay-as-you-go account but this would not affect my calls. WHEW!

Also for anyone who wishes to CANCEL THEIR SUBSCRIPTION, you can go to this website: https://secure.skype.com/account/call-phones/settings and on the Subscription settings page, click "Cancel."  This is for folks paying for calls.
