I attended an Open House at the New York Fifth Avenue location where they served wine and took us one by one in a locked room for our "consultation".  I was under the impression that the "consultation" would be with a physician, but I realized that the person in the room with me was not a doctor at all, but a sales person who convinced me after leaving me locked in the room alone for quite some time to leave a "deposit" of $500 which would be applied to future services.  It felt like a bail bond!

I was presented with a contract which I felt uncomfortable signing and was told that I could use the deposit for any of the spa services, such as massages and facials if I decided not to have plastic surgery.  The contract, however, did NOT state that at all, and the salesperson told me to write it on the front if I was unsure.  Which I did.

Two years later, I still have not received any services, despite my numerous attempts to make appointments to have a consultation with a doctor.  My attempts always end up with either no reply, or I end up in a locked room with a salesperson trying to get me to buy a "package".

Most recently, I went thought I was having a facial, but was instead put into a locked room with a salesperson who tried to get me to buy liposuction and became angry when I told her I just wanted to use my $500 for a facial.  She insisted I purchase a "package" or it would not be effective.  I refused and she left the room.

She came back with a "coupon" for a free service to let me try it out BEFORE I buy a "package".  I asked to make an appointment at that time and she told me to email her.  She is a salesperson, not a receptionist.

I have called and asked for a refund, and was sent to a person in Florida who emailed me a copy of my contract stating NO REFUNDS.  I have been refused service and I paid $500  They will not give me any service unless I purchase a "package" or a "procedure"  They rely on evasive and pressure tactics to extort money from clients.

Hi Amy,

I have looked into your file and see that you have have come into Sleek for Chemical Peels multiple times this year. I believe you may have used your $500 deposit towards these packages. Unfortunately at the time you did sign a no refund policy for this deposit, so you could not have gotten the money back. Hopefully the recent times that you have been into Sleek this year were great experiences and you felt appreciated. We do not believe in sales tactics like you mentioned below and strive to make sure all of our customers are happy and feel comfortable during their consultations.

I personally want to let you know that I am truly sorry for your unhappiness and if there is anything I can do to rectify this situation please don't hesitate to contact me. My name is Alex and my email is amorgan@sleekmedspa.com.

I have called and nothing was done.  I was AGAIN forced into a room with a salesperson and coerced to buy a "package".

I am interested in your contact information so that I can look into this issue. We are under new management are are taking huge strides to make our patients happy. Please call Sleek directly to provide us with your first and last name, phone number and email address. We will also be able to book you with an appointment.

At Sleek Surgical & MedSpa we care deeply about the patients experience and do not want them to ever feel pressured to buy. You are certainly able to see one of the doctors at Sleek New York so I am not sure why you had issues scheduling a consultation with one. You did sign a no refund policy, however we would be happy to book you for the necessary procedure or treatment like you said below.

Again, please call 561-988-4098 so that we can help you with your needs.
