My intuitive suspicion is accurate; this company is a shame, and upper management is clueless in regard to appropriate compensation. 

You (a tech) are expected to work long hours and working below the federal (U.S.) minimum wage is acceptable. In addition, techs are expected to complete a job (e.g., install a new motherboard) expeditiously, and quality is not priority--only pace. Many times, I had to haggle my supervisor--just to be compensated marginally above poverty, and the process is frustrating. 
 
Moreover, if a tech lives in the Northeast (e.g., NY) you are expected to drive in differing and inclement weather (i.g., snowstorm). Tech safety is not Smartech's preference and explaining does fall on deaf ears.
 
With the curtain pulled back--Smartech is disorganized and neglectful.

UKOptions Operated by Smartech Ltd, Jake Evans I invested £500 but they two lots of £500 and tried to take £250 but it was declined. When I discovered this I withdrew £500. I received an email confirming this over 3 weeks ago but since then they have not answered any emails. When I call I'm told someone will ring but they don't. Same on the live chat.
