Sony ripoff. They never sent me the promised rebate after I bought a Sony computer. Internet

January 2005 I bought a Sony computer on a "package deal".

I carefully sent to the proper address everything they required as proof of purchase. After not hearing from Sony for 6 months, I wrote to them. I got a postcard back saying I had not submitted all the required proofs. This was untrue, because I had, and had checked 4 times before mailing the envelope (with extra postage to be sure it got to its destination) to insure that I had included everything they specified.

It is now August 2006 and I have not heard another word from Sony. I wonder if the company had no intention of issuing rebates, or my material fell into the hands of a careless employee - though I suspect the former.

Regardless of the reason, I never received my rebate and I will never buy another DSony product.
